Joanne's career as a chiropractor was instigated via her love for her horse, and realising that chiropractic could help with the side effects of riding.

I discovered chiropractic in my later teenage years. As a teenager I spent every spare minute at the local stables looking after our horse and riding out with friends.

As time went on I began to suffer with back pain. My parents took me to a local Chiropractor who explained he could help and there was no need to stop horse riding. After a couple of sessions I was sold. The amazing art of Chiropractic – allowing the body to heal itself. I requested a university prospectus and enquired about the requirements to study Chiropractic.

In September 2000 I was on my way to the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of Glamorgan. After graduating in 2004 I returned to the North East with my now fiancee in tow, and began an associateship in the beautiful city of Durham.

Now, my focus is ensuring that everyone understands that the body can heal itself.

After a two year stint at Monkseaton Chiropractic, I have joined Estelle and the team at Naturally Chiropractic. I am so excited to join such a lovely practice and cannot wait to further my knowledge of paediatric and pregnancy care and continue to help the community stay well adjusted and in the best of health.
