the one we all want to hear suggested when the weather is as awful as it is currently.

Where’s your happy place?
One of the most important, yet often ignored, elements of our personal health care is keeping on top of how we feel. Day-to-day living can cause all sorts of concerns – worrying about work, the family, paying bills and so on.
Life is full of challenges so putting yourself constantly under pressure to resolve them can be stressful; taking time out for yourself is vital. We all recognise the need to be active, exercise and eat healthily so ensure you find the time and energy for routines without them being disrupted too often.
What also makes life just that bit easier is finding a your own personal happy place. Somewhere that is just for you, where you can stop and regroup with yourself. Of course, a holiday is ideal, but those are not exactly regular. The great outdoors is an ideal option so perhaps walk along the coast then sitting for a while with your favourite view. Or revisit a location with a happy memory, stop for a while, turn off your phone and do nothing…
Another option is simply meeting up with those friends that you don’t see as often as would like. Sharing our experiences, supporting each other, smiling and laughing over our concerns and antics should always be part of your health-care regime. As they say, it’s what friends are for.
Estelle and will be taking on board her own advice over the next month, as her sister arrives from Australia for a long awaited catch-up. (You can imagine the squawking from those two!).
In the meantime, she and Jo are both working as normal. Let’s all enjoy this glorious summer weather a bit for the rest of July.

Lastly, some happy place inspiration, here’s
Estelle’s, underwater with the fishies and Jo’s on a glorious Northumberland beach with her boys.
