the one we all want to hear suggested when the weather is as awful as it is currently. 

It may not be a typical day for celebration here although the historic roots of Halloween are ancient Celtic. The name comes from All Hallows' Eve, meaning the evening before All Hallows' (Saints') Day. Anyway, we love it and thought it was a great reason to have another colouring competition. 

Apart from the sheer fun of it, getting out pencils and paper and doing something with your hands is good for us… moving away from 

screens of all shapes and sizes is vital for keeping our brains alert. It focusses our minds with no distractions (especially if you turn your phone off for a little while) and creates a rest and relaxation period.

A little creativity is a wonderful thing, so please join in! As always, we have three categories, 1-7 years old, 7-16 and anyone over that. There’s no age limit plus, this time, we have a special challenge – can anyone break the outstanding record of our favourite 93 year old who has won for the adult category twice?? 

Judging is done by all our patients and participants, and is always anonymous. The winners will receive something fabulously chocolatey from Gareth James Chocolatiers.
